The Best Winter Blues
With the winter rains we had earlier this year, my upright Ceanothus 'Ray Hartman' was very happy, very bright, and very blue. Ceanothus come in many forms and shades of blue for every gardener. My favorite Ceanothus for low ground cover is Ceanothus 'Yankee Point.' California natives in your garden help create a native habitat that attracts and beneficial birds, bees, and pollinators!
Visiting Pat Welsh
On a recent beautiful spring morning I had the opportunity to visit Pat Welsh in her spring garden and all of it's glory. Of course, her wisteria was putting on quite a performance underscored by a blooming orchestra of orange clivia. It was magnificent!! Pat is just as spry and humorous as ever. Thanks Pat, for such a wonderful visit and living spring palette of color!!
